Help us to Keep Children Safe in the Back Country
Children need to be in the outdoors, but every month children will get lost. Kids don’t always recognize the dangers and are stung by insects, fall into moving water or approach a dangerous animal. They get sunburned and get tics on them. The University of Utah School of Medicine is here to help prevent the many problems children face in the back country.
Will you help us? We are developing amazing programs to help.
For Kids
We are creating a series of interactive games for children to play to help them recognize the dangers of the outdoors.
We are using a program called Hug a Tree to help children if they get lost.
For Parents and Caregivers
We are developing videos and quizzes to help teach them not only how to keep children safe, but what to teach their children.
We are creating interactive games for adults to learn these principles.
